It's Like I'm a Plant

Just the other day I contemplated the plants knowing it's turning to fall as the days get shorter. Just the other day I noticed my depression notching back up. Damn.

It's still sunny and beautiful, but my brain can sense what's coming. I'm going to try to put in place a regimen of exercise and massage. Both of which sound good for other reasons, too.

  1. Bummer. Sorry about that. I LOVE autumn, but I sure don't love winter. I'm already dreading winter and I haven't even enjoyed autumn yet.

  2. I think it's so true how our brains are tied to seasons and the different times of year. I feel it also. You're right, just like plants!

  3. People keep mentioning the fall weather, and I keep telling them, "Shh!" One good thing, though, is that I've gotten a bit excited about using a fall table cloth. So I bought one. Hey, if it will help me enjoy the fall weather... And I agree with Sunny in that fall isn't so bad, but winter is scarey. Ice and darkness and unreliable ability to drive places (occasionally, too much snow falls).

Hopefully your exercise and massage plans will help.

  4. I hear you on the seasons or weather affecting mood. Just this past weekend the morning started out quite cool, but then the sun came in strong and won...as did my mood :)
