that I'm feeling a lot of free floating anxiety. If I stop and think about it, it's attached to a few events in the future. I know I need to sit with it, but it doesn't feel good. What I am doing is not letting myself do any internet searched related to possible outcomes of these future events.
Other than that, I'm reading a couple of books related to mental health issues right now. Interesting stuff, so far. May be reviews coming.
My Apologies!

I know lately I have been struggling a lot with anticipatory anxiety, sitting with it and not avoiding anything because of my anxiety has gotten me through it all. Also, when I am there, at that place that once in my mind made me anxious, I was fine... I hear you on this, though, it is a struggle for me as well.
ReplyDeleteI've been having the free floating, general anxiety for the last couple of days, too. Must be something in the air!
ReplyDeleteThe "attack" I had on Friday was really weird, because I couldn't think of anything that precipitated it. Some of the other anxiety I could connect to job issues, but nothing I could deal with right now.
I'm glad you enjoyed reading. That's a wonderful way to make a day better! And good for you for "sitting" with the anxiety and not taking steps like Internet research.
Sounds like you are doing what you need to do in regards to the anxiety......looking forward to some book reviews!
ReplyDeleteHi, I just want to say that you are right, you can be coasting and then...
ReplyDeleteAnyway I just want everyone to know there is the International OCD Foundation, a website dedicated to the cause with all kinds of suggestions on treatment and the like. The IOCDF also has branches in many states and can tell you where there are support groups in your area. Dare to Believe.
