Free Time

So two weeks ago I started my new work schedule: 3 days a week. In theory, it's great. Well, actually, in practice it's great, too. But for some reason I still feel too busy. I think I had this idea that the new schedule would suddenly make me super efficient at home. HAHAHA. That was naive.

My OCD has been on a tear over the last month. I'm hanging in there, but I'm not sure if the issue is the standard "Ann's OCD peaks in fall" or something else. Usually it's more of an October, November issue for me.

But I'm still here, contemplating looking for a therapist, contemplating not looking for a therapist. We'll see.

  1. I work 32 hours a week, and when I switched down to that, I thought I would get so much more done, too. So far, not so much. I think I work as hard in 4 days as I used to in 5. So it's still an adjustment.

I'm sorry the OCD has gone up. Sometimes the stress of making changes affects mine. Hope it calms down soon.

  2. Sometimes the more hours I work the more productive I also am at home. It's counter-intuitive, I know, but I just seem to manage my time better when I'm super busy.
Hope your OCD backs off soon. I'm thinking of you.

  3. Ugh, I'm sorry OCD is tormenting you so much right now. Don't forget, you started a new work schedule and that can really mess with OCD. We like our schedules!!!! Hang in there. Hugs.
